Challenging accepted and entrenched social theory, Buckingham pioneered a revolutionary concept - that people will be dramatically more effective, successful and fulfilled when they play to their strongest skills rather than attempting to improve their weaknesses. The seminar will be presented via pre-recorded webinar in two separate sessions. Each session can stand alone so you may join us for either or both. Parking is available in the parking structure on Davidson between 3rd & 4th Streets.

02/20/2010 - "Engineers are Cool!" Girl Scout Event

Location: Hornets' Nest Girl Scout Council Complex, 7007 Idlewild Rd, Charlotte, NC 28212

Summary/description: This event is one of our annual Career Guidance Outreach events. Hands on activities will provide the girls with examples of different areas of engineering. Sessions in the past have been Bridge Building (Structural Engineering), Chocolate Asphalt (Civil Engineering), Electric Gelatin (Electrical Engineering), Puffmobile (Mechanical Engineering), and Slime (Chemical Engineering). Volunteers are needed to lead sessions as well as help on the day of the event.
