Angela holds a B.S. in Oceanic Science from the University of Michigan and a M.S. in Environmental Engineering from the University of Southern California.

She is a North Carolina registered professional civil engineer with 20 years of experience specializing in construction activities related to traffic signal systems and traffic control, light rail systems, wastewater treatment plant expansion, raw sewage conveyance (force mains, gravity sewers and pumping stations), stormwater treatment and pumping, solid waste, potable water conveyance (storage, pumping and transmission), and power plant construction. She has experience and training in Primavera Project Planner (P3), Primavera Project Planner for the Enterprise (P3e), Microsoft Project, and Expedition/Contract Manager contract control software.

She was an active member of the Southeast Florida Section of SWE while living in West Palm Beach, Florida and has served previously as the Section Representative and Section President for the Charlotte-Metrolina Section.

Angela currently works for the City of Charlotte's Department of Transportation (CDOT) as a Project Manager with their Implementation Section.

Yurania holds a B.S in Construction Engineering Technology from Florida A&M University.  She entered the workforce immediately after college graduation.  In her fourteen years of experience, she has provided construction inspection, contract administration, scheduling services and office engineering services for roadway construction, utility improvement projects, parking decks and transportation in general.

Since she became a SWE member in 2008, actively participates in the “Engineers Are Cool”, a Girl Scout Event.

Yurania moved to Charlotte, NC in 2006 to participate in the Constuction of the Light Rail System.  She is presently a team member for the CATS North Davidson Renovation Project.

Kerrie Goforth

Kerrie is from Clover, SC and holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Clemson University. She joined SWE in FY94 while at Clemson and has been a part of the Charlotte-Metrolina Section since its reinstatement in FY00. She has served the section in every office.

She began her career with MEMC Electronic Materials, Inc. in Spartanburg, SC but switched careers in 2001 when she became a high school science teacher at her alma mater, Clover High School, until May 2007 when she resigned to stay at home with her children.

Kerrie is the coordinator of the Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) group at her church and continues to substitute teach and provide homebound instruction as needed for the Clover School District.  She plans to return to full-time teaching when her youngest begins attending school.

Rose Mary Seymour

Dr. Rose Mary Seymour is an Instructor and Project Director with Central Piedmont Community College teaching in the Sustainability Technologies program. She received her PhD in Agricultural Engineering from Colorado State University, and received her B.S. and M.S. degrees in Biological and Agricultural Engineering at North Carolina State University.  She is a licensed professional engineer in Texas with 28 years of experience with water resources engineering of all kinds.  She has directed projects from the cotton fields of Texas to biosolids management in Maine and sports fields in Georgia.

She has been a member of SWE since 1998.  Dr. Seymour is currently the Section Representative of the Charlotte Metrolina Section and was an active member of the Maine Section and was Co-Advisor to the University of Maine Collegiate Section for 2 years. She has been a part of many outreach activities and loves to talk with girls about engineering.

Susan Schlett

Susan is originally from Coventry, CT and holds a B.S. in engineering from Trinity College in Hartford, CT. She worked on helicopters for Sikorsky Aircraft, a division of United Technologies Corporation (UTC), for fifteen years as a mechanical test engineer.

A senior life member of SWE, Susan has been continuously active with the Society for over 25 years. In addition to SWE-CM membership chair, she holds the office of SWE national membership committee chair elect.

Mandi holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology (formerly known as University of Missouri - Rolla) and is currently working on her MBA at Univeristy of North Carolina - Charlotte and professional engineering certificate.

Mandi began her career in April 2010 with the City of Charlotte – North Carolina where she currently works as a Construction Services Agent. She is also active with Hands On Charlotte, a local community service organization.
