 Angela Berry President

Angela M. Berry, P.E.

Angela holds a B.S. in Oceanic Science from the University of Michigan and a M.S. in Environmental Engineering from the University of Southern California.She is a North Carolina registered professional civil engineer with 25 years of experience. Angela joined SWE in 2001.

She served as the President for the Southeast Florida Section while living in West Palm Beach, Florida.  Since moving to North Carolina, she has served as the Section President, Vice President, Section Representative, and Alternate Section Representative for the Charlotte-Metrolina Section.  Angela is currently the SWE Counselor for the UNC-Charlotte Collegiate Section as well as to the University of South Carolina and FAMU/FSU Collegiate Sections.  Angela currently works for the City of Charlotte’s Department of Transportation (CDOT) as an Engineering Program Manager.

She is passionate about public speaking and has served as officer in numerous Toastmasters International clubs. Alice loves challenges and heartfelt conversations.

rebecca.trnr @ gmail.comRebecca is a graduate from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a MS degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering. She is a designer at WK Dickson & Co., Inc. As our Section Representative she attends the Regional and National SWE Conferences. She looks forward to traveling to France.

Kerrie is from Clover, SC and holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Clemson University. She joined SWE in FY94 while at Clemson, began revitalization efforts for the Western Carolina Section in Greenville-Spartanburg, SC in FY98 and has been a part of the Charlotte-Metrolina Section since its reinstatement in FY00. She has served the section in every office.

She began her career with MEMC Electronic Materials, Inc. in Spartanburg, SC but switched careers in 2001 when she became a high school science teacher at her alma mater, Clover High School, until May 2007 when she resigned to stay at home with her children. She has been teaching for Biblical Studies Released Time in Clover Schools since 2013.

Kerrie is WIC (Women in the Church) President at her church and co-Leader of Girl Scout Hornet’s Nest Council Troup 722 (Junior troop).

Chris Cathcart

Chris holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Kansas State University and her MBA from Maryville University.  She is a certified Six Sigma Greenbelt and trained Blackbelt.  She is a registered Professional Engineer with 24 years of experience.  Her areas of specialization include Project Management/Engineering, Systems Engineering, and structural design and testing.  Chris is currently working as a Project Engineer at Gulfstream Aerospace in Savannah, GA.  Christine has been a member of the Society of Women Engineers since 1994.She is a Fellow Member of the Society.  Chris has served as President for the Charlotte Metrolina Section and the Wichita Area Section.  She has also served as Vice President, Treasurer, Section Representative, and Secretary.  She has also served as Region officers and Society Committee Chair over the years.  She is currently one of the Leadership Coaches for Region D.  Chris is also an active member of the Project Management Institute.
